THE WORKFLOW

Good decisions begin with comparable data.

A low price only means something when the room and search conditions match. Build your reference set carefully, then use recorded evidence to understand your position.

Read the practical guide
  1. Build a reviewed competitor set

Add competitor listings and connect their room types to yours. Review possible matches before relying on them in a comparison.

  2. Record valid observations

Enter quotes, import the observation CSV, or use a configured permitted feed. Keep stay date, guest conditions, fees, currency, and collection time attached.

  3. Define your pricing limits

Set a floor, ceiling, movement limits, and applicable policy inputs. Missing or unsuitable evidence should lead to review, not an invented rate.

  4. Inspect the recommendation

Read the suggested rate, confidence, reasons, and validity period. Approve or ignore the decision for your records; channel prices remain under your control.

History with a timestamp

Understand recorded price movements in context. Freshness and matching search conditions matter when comparing observations.

Unknown stays unknown

Undisclosed room quantities remain blank. Collection failures are not counted as sold-out competitors.

Reasons beside the recommendation

Review the evidence and policy behind each decision. An approval records your decision without automatically changing public or partner rates.

A LITTLE MORE DETAIL

Good to know.

Clear answers before you get started.

Does adding an OTA link start live price collection?

No. A listing link identifies a competitor. Automated collection requires a separately configured, permitted source. Manual observations and the provided CSV format can be used in the meantime.

Can StayBridge see a competitor's real inventory?

A public observation only describes the selected search. Exact remaining quantities are stored only when the source actually discloses them; availability is not proof of total inventory.

Will approving a price update my channels?

No. Approval records the recommendation decision. It does not change OTA prices or StayBridge partner rates. You remain responsible for applying a rate where you sell.
